Brighter Sound, Manchester Central Library and Contact present Found Sounds meets RAW, an open-mic event for musicians, spoken word artists, poets, MCs and any creative people. Drop-in to Central Library on Friday 24 February to perform in one of Manchester’s most iconic buildings.

There’s also an opportunity to improvise over new electronic music created by some of the city’s most exciting emerging producers following a five-day take-over of Manchester Central Library. Experimenting with samples from the library’s incredible archives and capturing original sounds from the city’s streets, 15 musicians, DJs, freestylers, composers have produced modern day interpretations of Manchester’s rich musical history, past and present.

Hosted by Martin Visceral (Freestyler, Lyricist, MC) and DJ Jomo, the event is an opportunity to showcase your work in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, or just kick back & listen!

Found Sounds is a Manchester City Council commission, produced by Brighter Sound in partnership with Manchester Central Library and supported by the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities and Greater Manchester Arts.

RAW is supported and produced by Contact.
