Izzy Bolt is an emerging multi-disciplinary artist and curator. Studying classical guitar from a young age, Izzy has always enjoyed challenging music that presents puzzling elements of composition. Her allure to electronic music and digital art comes from her experience DJing amongst Manchester’s diverse clubbing scene, supporting renowned artists including the likes of Minor Science, Lack and Paula Temple. Izzy now embarks on her own sonic exploration being guided by a background in anthropology; inverting landscape surfaces, processing breaks with spectral sound and squeezing the full potential from field recordings. Izzy’s art evokes a surreal yet tangible experience for viewers and listeners. Ideas relating to the past, present and environment are both audible and visible influences in her work.
