Rebecca Burden

Rebecca Burden is a second-year music student at the University of York. With a deep passion for contemporary music and experimental performance, she is heavily involved with the Chimera Ensemble and The Assembled, and has worked collaboratively with composers such as Neil Luck and Beau Stocker. She is most inspired by the work of cellists Charlotte Moorman, Arthur Russell, and Oliver Coates, and enjoys channeling their styles in her performance.

After taking part in Brighter Sound’s Both Sides Now residency with Shiva Feshareki earlier this year, Rebecca is more excited than ever to work with even more inspiring women!
