Fuzzy Jones is an emerging music maker and ‘queen of Junk Shop Folk’ based in Leeds. She describes her music as “a tea party with Joni Mitchell and David Bowie, where we sit plotting revolution!” Fuzzy’s music has been played on Stuart Maconie’s ‘Freak Zone’, Gideon Coe – BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing, Radio DIVA, and last year she played the first all women line up at Diva Music Festival. In 2017 she co-founded the Sisterhood Music Collective – four accomplished singer-songwriters who aim to empower women through music and challenge issues around equality in the music industry. #UpriseWithUs
This has come at exactly the right time for me. It’s difficult sometimes, as a DIY musician, to know what move to make next in this endless musical maze – but this is definitely the right one! I can’t wait to learn from an artist with so much experience, who has kept her integrity in such a cut-throat, every changing music industry. To be pushed out of my comfort zone, to be curious, to break the rules, but most of all…to listen.
