Alone_Together – an electronic music project for young music makers aged 13-18.
Please note, spaces for these workshops are currently full.
A 10 week series of workshops exploring exciting new ways of creating music using electronics, digital technologies and instrument/vocal samples. Musicians will experiment and collaborate with other young creatives to make an original soundscape around the theme of Alone_Together:
What happens when musicians with different experiences and ideas work together as a collective? How can we use separate samples of music to create a whole track? What is the sound of Alone_Together?
The final piece will be recorded to form part of an exhibition at the Horsfall building in Manchester. There will be two performances – at a Brighter Sound live night at the end of the summer term and at a special event in September.
Sessions are led by professional sound artist Vicky Clarke and composer and sound designer MJ Mizra.
