A celebration of new music created together online by young musicians during our New Tracks project.
New Tracks is a music and wellbeing project supporting young people to develop new music skills, have fun, feel more connected and manage their own wellbeing. Over weekly sessions, the group collaborated over Zoom, using Bandlab to write and record new music about their own experiences, and things they care about, with the support of a team of professional musicians.
Featuring new music, animated music videos, and discussion around the role of music and creativity in supporting young people’s mental health and wellbeing. Contributions from participants, project facilitators Holly Phelps and Balraj Samrai and 42nd Street’s Mental Health Practitioner Laura Jackson.
Delivered in partnership with 42nd Street, One Education and MyHub.
This event will be streamed live on Brighter Sound’s Facebook.
Part of Brighter Sound’s Let’s Reconnect Festival – a 4-day celebration of new music, creativity and collaboration taking place between Mon 26-Thu 29 Apr.
