Dan Beesley, has been a professional recording engineer, guitar player and bass player for longer than a decade. He makes a mixture of original music for bands, soundtracks for experimental films with his wife (an experimental film maker in her own right) and part time lecturing in Music Tech and Sound Design. He’s been a gigging/touring musician for about 10 years now, probably most notably in Cleft who headlined and sold out dozens of gigs round the UK and Europe over the 4 years they were together.
“I’m a big fan of musique concrète, the art of found sound and field recording. More contemporary artists such as Fourtet and Amon Tobin are big influences on my more experimental electronic music.
I’m probably most excited about collaborating with total strangers. I’ve not really done much in the way of collaboration and certainly nothing like this, it should be great!”
