Are you interested in exploring a career in music? We’ve partnered with The Prince’s Trust to deliver a free six-week course for young people who are not currently in training, education or employment.

Over twelve sessions (two per week) you’ll explore the creative and practical elements of working in the music industry. You’ll collaborate to create, record and release an EP of new music, take part in workshops and masterclasses led by industry experts and receive 1:1 support to help you plan for your next steps.

The course will be led by an inspirational artist team with specialist skills and experience working in music as professional artists and educators, with masterclasses delivered by a range of experts who work across the music industry.

At the end of the course you will have:

  • Collaboratively created and recorded new music
  • Produced a music-based event to celebrate the launch of your EP
  • Developed your knowledge and awareness about careers in the music industry
  • Built a network of new contacts and resources
  • Strengthened your employability skills – including team working, time management, leadership, project and event management
  • Updated your CV and built your confidence in interview techniques
  • Been inspired to pursue your next steps in your creative career

You may already have some musical skills, although this isn’t essential.

The Prince’s Trust can provide electronic and computer equipment on loan for the duration of the project, which you can keep if you complete the course.
