Brighter Sound’s work with emerging musicians receives huge boost with support from Arts Council England and Help Musicians UK.
We are very, very pleased to announce that we’ve been awarded funding from Arts Council England’s Grants for the Arts and Help Musicians UK’s National Grants Programme to deliver a series of creative opportunities for emerging musicians.
Both grants will allow us to champion and support some of the UK’s most exciting up and coming artists to develop their creativity, test ideas, experiment and access essential career support.
Arts Council’s funding will support ‘The Classics and Experimental Project’ over the next 12 months. Through this, strong and diverse music industry role models will lead a series of weekenders and courses alongside artist commissions for two composers.
Help Musicians UK’s support will enable further support with the launch of a new set of wrap around support strategies for independent artists. This three-year programme titled ‘Sound and Vision’ will include national and international opportunities for artist exchanges, showcase performances, live nights, touring and recording.
Both projects will help us to boost the profile of the UK’s emerging talent, developing progression routes to enable the next generation of innovators and contributors in the shifting ecology of 21st century music.
