All girls guitar with Natalie McCool – closed

As a preview and taster of our forthcoming Here Come the Grrrls programme, we’re delighted to be working with Natalie McCool, one of the UK’s most talented up-and-coming musicians at the top of her game.

“You might not know Natalie McCool quite yet, but it’s only a matter of time before the rest of the internet falls under her spell. We certainly have” – Nylon

Natalie is working with us to lead personalised guitar lessons with five female guitarists, age 11- 18.  The workshop series is taking place as part of our forthcoming Here Come the Grrrls season, an exciting free programme of events inspiring young women to explore and discover the possibilities of music.

Natalie first came to public attention for winning a national song writing competition judged by Coldplay’s Chris Martin. Since then she has written with Paul McCartney, performed with Boy George and collaborated with Beth Orton. In 2013 Natalie won Female Artist of the Year at the Liverpool music awards. Her latest single ‘PINS’ has received airplay from BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music alongside widespread critical acclaim from the local and national press with Q Magazine featuring it as one of their ‘5 Tracks To Hear This Week’.

Listen to Natalie’s music on Soundcloud and follow her on Facebook and Twitter

“I’m delighted to be leading the guitar course and working with Brighter Sound – it’s so exciting to be mentoring aspiring female guitarists” – Natalie McCool

Natalie is working with intermediate and beginner guitarists to develop their lead guitar skills through the workshops. Participants take their own ideas to the sessions and develop their technique each week, whilst working to a personalised tuition plan.

Watch this space to find out about more events taking place as part of our Hear Come the Grrrls programme. In the meantime, if you’re age 11-18 and would like to develop your creativity and connect with like-minded young women, register your interest in the programme by contacting Kate at or on 0161 830 3899.
