Hannah Ashcroft is a Manchester based alt-folk songwriter. With influences ranging from Feist, Radiohead and John Martyn, she combines intricate guitar parts with a keen interest in Classical literature to explore themes of humanity, mythology and superstition. Playing shows across Europe and Australia, she returned to the UK in late 2016 to release her Melbourne made debut EP The Quiet Kind.
“The residency is an amazing opportunity to collaborate with emerging musicians and contribute to the Manchester Hill commemoration. I’m excited to compose and perform as a collective and hope to make a valuable contribution to lyrics and instrumentation.”
