Tom Donaldson is a multi-instrumentalist and musician in his 1st Undergraduate year at the Royal Northern College of Music. Originally from Tunbridge Wells, Kent, Tom is primarily a drummer, having worked in multiple and varied projects across the country, from jazz-funk and psychedelic rock to punk. With a self-taught background in production and electronic music, he is half of the duo “Darcie”, experimenting with DIY recording methods and live looping technology within Ableton, while using traditional instruments and duetted vocals. The pair are starting to gig frequently in and around Manchester and have developed a unique sound, as recognised by NME in their “100 Artists to watch in 2018” list. In addition to this, Tom plays as a session drummer for other projects within the college environment, involving himself in the thriving Manchester scene.
“An opportunity to work with such great, established musicians is incredibly humbling and I am ready to throw myself into the project!”
