Louie is a multi-instrumentalist, beat maker, & M.C from South London who specialises in playing drums.
Having lived in Manchester for no more than 6 months, he is new to the scene but is frequently making connections with other musicians and there are currently several collaborations to look forward to in the near future.
He is particularly interested in jamming and the live performance aspects of music, something he takes part in regularly and also chose to focus his dissertation on at the University of Sheffield. Louie has just played his first gig in Manchester with rapper and singer-songwriter Lehin, supporting Dami Sule at Jimmy’s. His second live performance will be playing for singer-songwriter Anamelia at Manchester International Festival.
He is also working closely with two organisations, one in Manchester and one in Sheffield, where he is currently assisting in facilitating workshops and hopes to start running his own music based workshops in the near future.
“I’m looking forward to meeting other like-minded musicians to develop with as I believe that there is always more to learn from other artists and musicians. I believe that ultimately music gives us a voice which is otherwise unspoken, and for this reason music is a unique way to express and vocalise any emotions or struggles that we may face, therefore transferring our physical experiences into a very real discourse.”
