Francesca Pidgeon is a full-time busker and part-time songwriter. She is primarily a guitarist and singer but due to a lack of social skills has taught herself clarinet, saxophone, piano, bass and trumpet to try and avoid human contact. After fronting art-rock four-piece ‘Kumiko’ for three years she is now writing under the moniker ‘Dilettante’ and concentrating on looping and playing woodwind live. Currently playing synths, sax and percussion in BC Camplight’s touring band she is playing shows across the UK and Europe and has appearances on national television and radio scheduled.
I’d like to gain more insight into the logistics of success in the music industry, and also hope to gain some support and encouragement from a mentor as I seem to spend the majority of my time writing music in my own echo chamber and allowing very few people to hear it.
