James Girling is a highly versatile jazz and classical guitarist, composer and arranger. Over the past year, he has made his Wigmore Hall and professional concerto debuts as soloist, and won the Royal Northern College of Music’s Gold Medal Competition. As guitarist in the RNCM Big Band, he has played alongside Tim Garland, Julian Joseph, Nikki Iles, Tina May and Laurence Cottle, and recently performed a duet with Martin Taylor. This summer, his own jazz-rock quintet, Artephis, released their debut album: ‘All Change No Change’.
