Esme Higgins is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Merseyside. She has a love of performing live and gigging across the country. Esme’s songs explore themes of mental health, self-acceptance and love, complemented with intricate guitar work and emotive vocals. In 2018 she released her first album ‘Today it Rains’ which she toured with her band. She is currently recording and releasing a run of singles in 2020. Esme completed a degree in Popular Music, songwriting at Leeds College of Music in 2018 and since then has been focusing on developing her career in facilitating participatory arts.

“I want to develop my behavioural management skills, understanding of safeguarding and generally improve as a practitioner. I am looking forward to experiencing new workshop settings through placements as well as having a focus on my development. After I have completed the CME I would like to feel capable of running my own projects, applying for funding applications and working with organisations. I would like to build a career that involves running workshops and participatory arts projects and being a music artist.”
