We’re looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented and enthusiastic Operations & Finance Officer to join the Brighter Sound team in this newly created role.
The successful candidate will be joining the organisation at an exciting time as we continue to grow, with music projects across the country increasing our reach, impact and turnover.
You will play a central role in the company, working with the Head of Operations & Finance to carry out and maintain the core functions of the office, including HR, finance, operations, governance, business workflow and administration.

Rooted in the North of England with national and international reach, we deliver a programme of exciting creative projects and events to support young and emerging musicians. In the past we’ve connected our participants with inspirational artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Beth Orton, Nadine Shah, Everything Everything, Anna Meredith, Bugzy Malone and Snarky Puppy.

Brighter Sound consists of 10 core staff, and a network of freelance producers, musicians and workshop leaders working in a supportive, fast-paced and creative environment.
Our thriving programme is constantly growing. Previous commissions include The Hexagon Experiment (Great Exhibition of the North 2018) and Manchester Hill Remembered (in partnership with Manchester City Council and Manchester Histories). This work complements our core programme of support for young and emerging musicians which includes Both Sides Now – our groundbreaking initiative to support gender equality in music.
