We’re delighted to announce an exciting Sing City spring programme for young and emerging singers and songwriters.
We’ve got workshops with award-winning folk fusion quintet Project Jam Sandwich, specialist masterclasses with critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Josephine and composer Ben Cottrell as well as performance opportunities at Band on the Wall at our regular Sing City Live night.
Now in its third year, Sing City offers music-making opportunities for young people to collaborate and perform across Manchester. The weekly workshops are a chance for like-minded young people to meet and develop their talents in singing and songwriting with the support from leading practitioners and guest artists.
Sessions are led by a team of expert vocalists and music educators who all work professionally in the music industry. This fantastic team includes Sara Lowes (solo artist and composer), Yvonne Shelton (Gloria Estefan, Simply Red, George Michael), Liam Frost (solo artist and with Tokolosh band) as well as a number of guest musicians.
All Sing City sessions are free and open to 13-18’s, with occasional masterclasses extended to those up to the age of 25.
