Dolan’s 6AM – Beoga

I love the music that Beoga make because it’s fast, furious and funky. I grew up playing with some of these musicians and they’re at the top of their game.

Wish You Were Here – The Milk Carton Kids

I love, love, love these guys! We saw them live for the first time last January and then made a point of going to watch them when we were over in New York over the summer. Their beautiful, close harmonies are just splendid.

The Atlantean – John McSherry

McSherry has just released another solo album called the Seven Suns and it’s great. He’s possibly the tidiest piper out there in my opinion. I love track 3 of this new album as it has style written all over it.

Boat Song – The Breath

Rioghnach Connolly is one of those rare talents who can make any song sound incredible. I love this latest project with guitar maestro Stuart McCallum.

Heath and Bernies – Zoe Conway

Zoe Conway is just a top class fiddler who can convincingly turn her hand to jazz, classical and of course, trad. I love these reels.

Attaboy – Goat Rodeo

The Goat Rodeo sessions is undoubtedly made up of some of the best musicians in the world and Stuart Duncan (the fiddle player), is my absolute favourite. It seems there’s nothing this man can’t play.

She’s Got You – Rhiannon Giddens

Perhaps one of the best voices out there. Rhiannon Gidden is just such a powerful singer, banjo player, fiddle player, etc. Very few people have similar talents in my opinion.
