Over five days the group worked with Manchester collective Honeyfeet to write and record new music at Blueprint Studios and Sacred Trinity Church, boundless in sound and style.

Together they learned about songwriting techniques, vocal arrangements, rhythm sections and more. Using the concept of Truth to Tape, with just their instruments and interests to use as inspiration, the group ended the week with six new tunes!

“The whole residency was very inspirational and eye opening”, says multi-instrumentalist Anreé. “I’ve gained studio experience and met new people who have the same passion for music, things that have helped me towards a career as a musician.”

Lala reflected that “The residency restored some of the confidence I had been recently lacking in my musicianship. I felt that my contributions were valuable, so all in all I came away from the week with a more positive outlook on my abilities.”
