Chesqua is a Manchester based singer-songwriter. Growing up in North Wales she moved to the city to study at Salford University. She kicked off her musical journey after members of Grammy award-winning band Snarky Puppy selected her to collaborate in their artistic residency with Brighter Sound which culminated in a support slot for their appearance at Manchester Jazz Festival. Chesqua has since collaborated with some of the UK’s best up-and-coming musicians on various projects. Her work as featured writer on various label releases has accumulated millions of hits and secured her position as a diverse and accomplished artist. Over the past 12 months, she has been working on new solo material focusing her writing on a contemporary sound, while combining her love of Neo-Soul with pop production. Chesqua is currently training as a music facilitator with Brighter Sound.
