The second in our series of free online webinars to support musicians and music professionals during the COVID-19 crisis, hosted by Remi Harris MBE.
Budgeting and managing your cash flow are essential skills for us all, and never more so than now. This session is aimed at anyone that needs to replan their personal or professional finances or put together a project budget.
The session will cover:
- Putting together a simple budget
- The relationship in business between turnover (sales), expenses/tax, profit and your personal finances
- How to use a cash flow forecast to juggle incoming and outgoing cash
Hosted by Remi Harris MBE, who has 20 years’ experience working across the music & creative industries as a senior manager, trainer, facilitator, coach and business adviser in the UK and internationally. Remi will be joined by accountant and business consultant Shim Offor.
How to take part
We’ll be using online video software Zoom, so please ensure you have downloaded the app on a desktop or mobile ahead of the session.
We will email you a link to the meeting room closer to the date.

About the speakers
Remi Harris MBE has 20 years’ experience working across the music & creative industries as a senior manager, trainer, facilitator, coach and business adviser in the UK and internationally. She was General Manager of Association of Independent Music and Director of Operations at UK Music, is co-founder of YGN (Young Guns Network) the professional network for young people in Music and is qualified with an MBA (Masters in Business). Shim Offor is an accountant and business consultant with 23 years experience in businesses ranging from global brands, investment firms, fashion and music. Shim is business manager of premiere music promotion and management company, Soul 2 Streets. Owned by her partner DJ Maurice (BBC Radio 1Xtra, Rampage), Shim works alongside the artists managed by the company, including an international DJ with a top 20 hit under his belt and a Mercury Music Prize nominated producer. Shim helps the artists handle their own cash flow, tax returns and investments and helped to increase Soul 2 Streets’ turnover by 300%. She is also the owner of children’s clothing brand Dragons & Daisies.
