Fallen Flags is a cross-city collaboration in alternative music between Manchester and Denmark, uniting five talented young musicians.

We're thrilled to have brought Hoda Jahanpour (cello) and Trees.R.Good (bass guitar, saxophone, electronics) back together for Fallen Flags, having first met on our residency with Nubya Garcia.

Joining them from Denmark are Caroline Frandsen (voice), Glen Montanaro (guitar) and Frederik Bülow (drums).

The focus of the new music lies firmly within the realm of alternative music, spanning jazz, experimental and improvisation. Having devised and premiered it in Denmark last year, the ensemble gives its UK debut at Band on the Wall as part of Manchester Jazz Festival (mjf).

Performing at the same event are artists from D’Accord!, a new programme that connects northern artists with breakthrough French artists. Find out more about D’Accord!

This event is free to attend. No need to book.
