Want to take your first step to becoming an electronic music artist, producer or sound engineer?

On this free course for 11-18's, you'll learn how to produce your own music with guidance from experienced electronic music artists, led by Caro C.

Learn about developing beats, sampling, recording vocals and instruments, mixing and more.

No previous musical experience needed, just bring the power of your self-expression and a collaborative spirit.

When and Where

Sessions will take place between 6.30-8.30pm at Wythenshawe Forum Library Creative Space (M22 5RX) on the following Wednesdays:

  • The Forum has step-free access, with a lift to the Creative Space, and accessible toilets are downstairs. Disabled parking is also available.

About Caro C

Caro C is an artist, engineer, teacher and social entrepreneur. Described as a "sonic enchantress" (BBC Radio 3) Caro C makes and performs creative electronic music ranging from sensual ambient to bass driven beats. Caro loves to be in the sound, meticulously sculpting her sound world using found sounds (everyday objects and sounds),voice, piano and a laptop. 

Caro has created music for film, theatre, dance, installation, has performed live across Europe and works in podcast production including for Sound On Sound magazine. Her sonic adventures started in Newcastle, then she went to Berlin for a couple of years before settling in Manchester. Caro is the instigator and project manager of Delia Derbyshire Day, an electronic music charity which champions underrepresented electronic artists past, present and future. Her expertise in electronic music and passion for authentic expression includes working as a mentor and teacher. It’s all about humanity via technology for this “one woman electronic avalanche” (BBC introducing).
