Amplify is for you if you want to:

  • Meet and collaborate with other musicians your age
  • Develop skills in songwriting or playing in a band
  • Create new music together, or develop some of your own ideas
  • Perform live on stage

Across April to June you can express your voice through music, build confidence, and develop skills in a safe, encouraging space. The focus is creating original new music together.

No musical experience needed. Just bring the power of your self-expression and a collaborative spirit. We’ll have instruments available for you to use.

This is a performance-based songwriting course and does not include music production or technology.

When and where

Sessions will take place on Wednesdays from 6-8pm on the following dates:

  • 22, 29 April
  • 6, 13, 20 May
  • 3 June

We'd love you to come to all sessions, but it's ok if you can’t make every date.

We’ll also be hosting a Live Night on Thursday 11 June, 6-7.30pm. The evening will be a chance for you and your mates to perform the music you’ve been making during sessions to a live audience.

All sessions and the Live Night will take place at Wythenshawe Forum Library Creative Space, M22 5RX. Visit their website for more information on how to get there.
