We're teaming up with Vic Meets, a platform created by BBC Radio 1 presenter and R&B/Soul artist Victoria Jane, to offer three new workshops for women and people of marginalised genders aged 18+.

Hosted by Victoria Jane, each workshop will last two hours with an hour at the end to chat, jam or freestyle.

This is for you if you’re:

  • In the early stages of your journey into music and are looking for support and guidance
  • Looking to develop your skills and confidence, and have a go at something new
  • Keen to meet new people and make connections in the Manchester music scene

Can I come?

These events are designed as intentional spaces for women and people of marginalised genders as part of our All Things Equal initiative. This includes:

  • Women, including Trans Women
  • Non-Binary / Agender people
  • Gender Fluid / Genderqueer people
  • Trans Men / Trans Masculine people
  • Intersex people

We know that more needs to be done to address intersectional barriers in the music industry, so we’re particularly keen to support additional marginalised communities. This includes Black, South Asian and ethnically diverse people, and people with lived experience of disability.

There are limited places on these workshops, so please consider whether this is right for you before signing up.

This workshop is for people aged 18+. We'll ask you to confirm your age when you sign up.
