Over the last few months an amazing group of instrumentalists, producers, rappers and singers, all aged between 13-18, have been working together to create new tunes.

Reverb is our weekly project for young artists to get together and hone their music making skills. Supported along the way by professional artists and facilitators, sessions are totally led by their interests. They tell us what they want to do and we get them set up.

To mark the end of 2023, Reverb took over Low Four Studio in Manchester where the group performed to an audience of friends and family, dipping their toes into indie rock, R&B and acoustic numbers.

  • Young people laughing and smiling. One has their thumbs up and is holding a microphone.

  • Two young musicians, one playing guitar, the other with a mic to their mouth.

  • A young musician with glasses playing bass. They are illuminated by warm stage lights.

  • Young vocalists singing into microphones on stage. They are dimly lit in shades of blue and purple.

  • A young guitarist playing.

  • Five young vocalists singing into microphones.

At Reverb Live we invite some of our friends to perform as well.

Our pals at More Music brought the party with a DJ set from one of their own, Not Logan. And to close the night, singer, songwriter and music producer Jenni Orlopp (currently taking part in our Mentoring Programme) took centre stage with a range of tunes that take inspiration from UK garage, bossa nova and house, all with a pop twist.

A big congratulations to everyone who took part!

Fancy joining?

New people are always welcome at Reverb.

Next term will begin on 25 January, with sessions taking place at Contact in Manchester on Thursdays between 6-8pm.
